The truth of the matter is: life sucks. Life will be the worst thing you ever face. But it's also the best thing you will ever face. Life is a continuous flow of ups and downs and it's a never ending movement of energy that we happened to join along for the ride. Now, the ride can be bumpy at times, but that doesn't mean that it will never be smooth. The choice is up to you whether you want to enjoy the ride or not.
I don't know who taught life how to fight, but man does that sucker know how to throw a punch. And when it punches, it throws hard. Sometimes life wants to be a bully and to push you further away from your goals. Every thing once started with an idea, and the conjured up idea always goes well in our heads. But from the words of the great boxer Mike Tyson himself, "Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face".
So what do you do when life punches you in the face? You take it, you wear it, and keep moving forward. I'm not saying to lie to yourself and pretend that everything is alright because that would only cause further issues. But life keeps moving, and will keep moving whether you choose to sit still or not.
The idea is that when life knocks you down, you get back up and keep fighting. Why choose to stay down? You started your journey for a reason, so why stop now? Continue with that reason. Yeah I agree that sometimes the journey isn't what you expected. But the difference between a loser and a winner is that the winner tried one more time.
Now, I know he's fictional, but another great boxer Rocky Balboa once said, "It's not how hard you can hit, but it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward". I take those words to heart and I think we all should.
If you give up, you will always lose. If you quit, you will lose 100% percent of the time. Progress is about movement. It means you go up and down, but still forward.
Life doesn't just want you to lose, it just wants balance. The good, the bad, it wants all of it. The bad is part the journey, just remember that. There will be good to come, you just have to keep going to get there.
