The golden path to success in my opinion lies within the simple equation of mindset plus maturity. Success is relative and achieving your version of success is ultimately opinionated. The results of this two part equation depends solely on the conjunction of both ingredients. The ability to achieve one of these two parts is quite a common presence amongst all of us. However, to truly set you apart from the perils of mediocrity, to truly rise above the average, you must set yourself to do what others won't. Let's dive in deeper:
Let's begin with the most common trait: mindset. To be able to set you apart from the rest is to be able to think a way that's distinct from others. The power of the mind is a remarkable force and a gem hidden in plain sight. The foundation to success lies within our minds, and the only opponent we truly face that holds us back, lies within our minds. To want more is useless, but to crave it, to live and breath it, is to manifest it. The path begins within the mind, and the mindset is the fuel for this long road trip.
Now it's relatively easy to dream. We all dream and come up with ideas as it's basic human nature to innovate. Innovation and adaptation is essentially a survival trait that has progressed humanity into where we are today. Now the next part of the equation is, in my belief, the most important. The next part is the differentiating factor.
When I talk about maturity, I'm not talking about emotional maturity nor am I talking about the concept of age. Rather, I'm talking about the discipline to complete what you set out to accomplish. Having a goal in correlation with mindset is the first part of the equation. But a goal without action will forever remain a dream. To achieve your version of success, it is a long term trip with bumps and obstacles all over the road. Tenacity and persistence is essential to reach the destination. Let's use the metaphor of a tree: the idea of having a fruitful tree and to reap its benefits is merely just a dream without taking the action to plant the seed and take care for it everyday.
So in conclusion, it's a relatively simple concept in my opinion to achieve success. Everyone has a different version of success and it's a highly opinionated debate on what "success" is. Within such a simple equation lies the secret to unleash the potential to a better life.
